University of Guelph launching agriculture program

Post secondary students looking to get their hands dirty in agriculture will now have the chance.

The University of Guelph is launching the Masters of Plant Agriculture program, which will allow recent graduates and professionals in the agriculture sector to expand their education without having to create a traditional thesis-based program.

Students can study full time or part time in breeding and genetics, biochemistry and physiology, and crop production with a ‘hands on’ approach.

The program is an effort to help the growing demand for agriculture needs among employers, and aims to provide businesses with experts in plant breeding and plant science.

The Masters of Plant Agriculture program will officially launch in the fall of 2024.
