By CityNews Kitchener Staff

A Kitchener man is accused of stealing $9 million from a local business.

Waterloo Regional Police began an investigation last October after they were contacted about someone writing fraudulent cheques from a business in Kitchener.

Charges were laid Thursday, Aug. 31, against a 24-year old man, accused of defrauding a business for millions.

Those charges include fraud, utter forged document, money laundering, and possession of property obtained by crime.

A statement from police does not name the accused or the company.

The investigation is ongoing, and police would still like to hear from anyone who has more information.
