Record breaking temperatures are set to arrive in Waterloo Region for the third day in a row Friday.
The temperature to beat is 24.4°C set in 1941.
CityNews Weather Specialist John Wilson is calling for a high of 28°C in Waterloo Region Friday, confident we’ll easily beat the 82-year-old record.
Thursday, temperatures rose to 28°C, just enough to beat the old record of 27.8°C set in 1941 as well.
Wednesday we just beat the 1977 record of 25.6°C, with a high of 25.7°C
Wilson doesn’t expect we’ll beat any records over the weekend, with highs of 22°C on Saturday and Sunday.
It’s the return of April Showers on Monday, with a more seasonal high of 7°C.
We might even see flurries on Tuesday.
