By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Police are investigating another instance of hate-motivated graffiti in Waterloo Region.

Graffiti, including hate-motivated writing, was written on the ground, a bench and a guardrail on Laurel Trail, in the area of Peppler Street and Bridgeport Road East in Waterloo.

It is believed that the vandalism occurred between the evening of September 10 and the morning of September 11.

The investigation is ongoing.

The reported incident is the latest in a number of reported instances of hate-motivated graffiti in Waterloo Region over the summer months. In July, police responded to five graffiti incidents classified as being hate-related.

Between August 1 to 21, there were six graffiti incidents considered to be hate-related – including graffiti in the Victoria Park washroom, and several vehicles that were spray-painted in the King Street North and Spruce Street area of Waterloo.
