March was average in terms of temperature, precipitation: UW Weather Station

The University of Waterloo Weather Station has released its monthly statistics for March.

The data shows it was an average month for both temperature and precipitation.

According to the weather station the overall temp. was 0.6 degrees above average which it still considers in the average range.

Precipitation was evenly scattered throughout March, coming in at just over 52 mm.

Snowfall in the month was 21 cm, just under the over 26 cm we typically receive for that month. Total snowfall for the season was close to 170 cm, which is above average by 10 cm.

The coldest is got in March was -16.8 Celsius — while the warmest day was 19.4 Celsius.
