BlackBerry ceases all business activities in Russia

BlackBerry is the latest company to denounce Russia's invasion of Ukraine, following the lead of other tech and entertainment giants.

In a statement issued Wednesday, BlackBerry said it is ceasing all business activities in Russia.

The move takes effect immediately.

The company said it will revisit the decision as the situation evolves and will be working with charities who are responding to the crisis.

The statement goes on to applaud the bravery of the Ukrainian people, “Who are defending their homeland and fighting for the future of democracy for us all.”
