The Canadian Shield partners with Danby Appliances to supply air purifiers

Waterloo PPE manufacturer The Canadian Shield has added to its product line-up.

It has announced a partnership with Guelph-based Danby Appliances to distribute Danby's air purifiers.

According to Health Canada, when used properly, air purifiers can reduce the amount of some viruses in the air, adding an extra layer of protection against COVID-19.

“Obviously I think the public awareness with COVID being airborne is somewhat new, so I think we're going to see a similar swing in terms of demand for air purifiers and other products like that. Like we have seen for rapid tests and N95s,” said Jeremy Hedges, CEO of The Canadian Shield.

“We see air purification as one of the most important technologies for making workplaces and classrooms safe in this pandemic. We couldn't have a better partner in Danby with their mantra, Do the Right Thing.”

The CEO of Danby Appliances said they're pleased to be working with an innovative partner. “Be it pollution or viral concerns, we all benefit from access to the best indoor air quality possible,” stated Jim Estill.

The Canadian Shield also offers respirators, medical masks and rapid antigen tests.
