17-year WRPS member charged with sexual assault, breach of trust

The province’s police watchdog has charged a 17-year veteran of the Waterloo Regional Police Service with sexual assault.
The Special Investigations Unit says it began investigating last November, after it was made aware of a complaint of a sexual nature against the officer.
It’s alleged a woman was sexually assaulted in Kitchener in October of 2017.
An investigation by the SIU has resulted in charges against Constable Jeffrey Hall, including one count of sexual assault, and one count of breach of trust.
The SIU investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
Hall is expected to appear in court on May 2nd.
