New jobs coming to Guelph with $6-million in funding for RWDI

One of the biggest engineering firms in Southern Ontario is about to get bigger with new technology and more jobs in Guelph.

RWDI, a consulting engineering firm, has received a total of $6-million from the provincial and federal governments.

The money will help build two new boundary layer wind tunnels at their Guelph facility, creating about 125 new jobs.

President and CEO, Michael Scoligo, tells 570 NEWS there will be more jobs worldwide later on.

Scoligo says in order to be at the top of their field as consulting engineers, innovation and technology have to always be at the forefront.

MP Llyod Longfield and MPP Liz Sandals were on hand this morning for the announcement of the funding.
