Residents meet with Tannery developers

A meeting was held at Kitchener City Hall today to discuss plans for the Tannery Buildings slated for demolition in downtown Kitchener.

The meeting was aimed at allowing Cadan Developers to explain to some concerned residents face to face, their plans for the area.

One of those concerned residents is James Howe.

Howe tells 570 News the meeting lasted about 90 minutes and says they barely had time to scratch the surface.

He says four key areas were identified that need further discussion

Those include planning provisions and how it will help revitalize downtown Kitchener.

City staff plan to meet with individuals concerned with those issues.
