7th annual Freedom Ride to End MS takes over Bingemans

Expect to see a plethora of motorcycles in the Bingemans Centre Drive area of Kitchener as hundreds of bikers hit the road for the 7th annual Freedom Ride to End MS.
Motorcyclists can pre-register at Bingemans starting at 8 a.m. before the ride officially gets underway at 9:15 a.m.
Kim Thomas with the Grand River Chapter of the MS Society of Canada says the annual event usually raises between $40,000 – $50,000.
“All of that money stays here in our community to help people with equipment purchases or any support a person may need in their home after they’ve been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.”
Thomas says the event features music, food, and giveaways.
“It’s going to be a great day and this event alone has raised about $250,000 for our community. I can’t tell you how amazing it is, and we’re hoping we get to the $300,000 mark with this event.”
The event usually sees between 150-300 motorcyclists and requires a $50.00 pledge from each participant.
“If you want to register you can go to our website (www.freedomridetoendms.com) and you’ll get another ticket to enter our draw for a grand prize of $1,000.”
The ‘Freedom Ride’ route length is about three hours long and wraps up at Bingemans with music and a free lunch.
