The Waterloo Region District School Board has announced that elementary students will only be receiving a placement letter by the end of the day on Monday, June 22nd.
This instead of report cards.
WRDSB spokesperson Marty Deacon tells 570 News that inputting the marks for 40,000 students just wasn’t possible without the teachers.
“Our students will be disappointed; our families will be disappointed, we share that disappointment and are trying to make the best decision in relation to our strike action.”
Deacon says parents can always contact the board with their questions. Anyone with concerns is asked to head to the board’s WEBSITE.
Elementary students will be sent home with this letter today.
Students in Toronto and Peel district school boards are also only receiving a placement letter.
Meantime, The Avon Maitland District School Board announced earlier this month that its students would be receiving marks in their final report cards.
