Victim attacked with ‘blunt object’ in Kitchener robbery

Police say a victim was attacked with a blunt object in a robbery incident in Kitchener.

A male victim was walking around 10:00 p.m. when they were allegedly assaulted by a stranger who wielded some kind of blunt object.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and had his property stolen.

The suspect fled the scene before police arrived. No description has been released.

The incident occurred on March 31 in the King Street East and Cedar Street North area.

Waterloo regional police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information, including video footage from the area, to contact investigators at 519-570-9777 ext. 4433.
