Highway 85 reopens at Northfield Drive West

Traffic is once again moving through the area of Northfield Drive West – after an earlier reported collision on Highway 85.

It was just after 10 a.m. when the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) shared news of a closure through that stretch, caused by a crash.

While details surrounding that closure were limited, callers to the *401 traffic line disputed the warning – instead reporting a blockage of the off-ramp from northbound lanes of Highway 85 to Northfield Drive West.

Drivers can still expect to find delays on the Thursday morning drive, contending with continued snowfall creating difficult driving conditions.
