Three in hospital after fire at Waterloo supportive housing building

Three people had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in Waterloo on Monday.

Waterloo Fire Rescue crews were called out to 155 Lincoln Rd. in the Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North area around 11:15 p.m. to reports of a unit on fire.

That apartment is a YW Supportive and Affordable Housing building.

Crews were still in the area very early Tuesday morning, but cleared out well before the morning rush.

The cause of the fire has not been determined at this time with the investigation ongoing.

No damage estimate has been released as of Tuesday morning.
