Senior seriously injured in Waterloo crash on Lexington

A two vehicle collision in which a senior was seriously injured, closed a section of Lexington Road in Waterloo on Wednesday afternoon.

Regional police closed Lexington between Davenport and Anndale roads after two SUVs collided in the area around 2:40 p.m.

The closure was in place for several hours.

Officers said the man behind the wheel of a Honda SUV, an 81-year-old, was seriously hurt in the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle and her passengers in a Maserati SUV were not hurt.

Police have not made any mention of charges at this point and are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
