Robbery involving baseball bat under investigation in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) are looking for a suspect after an assault and robbery in Kitchener, releasing a photo of a person of interest.

It was on Friday, around 1 a.m., when officers responded to the area of Victoria Street South and Westmount Road West in Kitchener. They found a man who had been assaulted with a baseball bat at a residence on Mooregate Crescent.

Police said the man also had personal property taken from him during the attack, which is believed to have been targeted in nature.

He was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor physical injuries.

Investigators have now released an image of a person they’d like to identify and speak to in connection with the robbery.
