Police investigating hate-motivated robbery in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police (WRPS) are investigating a Kitchener convenience store robbery as a hate-related incident.

According to police, a man entered a store in the Highland Road East and Spadina Road East area on Monday just after 9:30 a.m.

The man proceeded to threaten the staff and use racial slurs before leaving.

Police are looking for what they identified as a white man in his twenties.

He was last seen wearing a red winter jacket with fur on the hood, grey sweatpants, a black shirt, a black backpack, and a baseball cap.
