Your Kitchener Rangers went the distance with the Soo Greyhounds at the GFL Memorial Gardens on Wednesday night but fell just short in a 3-2 overtime loss.
Greyhounds forward Christopher Brown netted the winner in the extra frame to hand the Rangers their first loss in four games.
Rangers forwards Weston Cameron and Avry Anstis continued their hot streaks, both picking up a goal in the contest.
It was the last game for Rangers captain Cameron Reid before the 18-year-old defender heads off to participate in the Team Canada World Junior Championship training camp in Niagara.

The Rangers’ road trip continues on Friday as the team heads south of the border to Michigan for a contest with the white-hot Flint Firebirds on Friday before a Saturday night game against the Spirit in Saginaw.
