Cyclist hit with bear spray in Cambridge

Regional police continue to investigate an early morning weapons incident in Cambridge that saw a cyclist hit with bear spray from a nearby vehicle.

It was on Monday morning around 3:15 a.m. when police say the victim was attacked.

It’s alleged that cyclist was riding in the area of Elgin Street North and Avenue Road in Cambridge when the driver of a vehicle approached them, discharging a cannister bear spray.

The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the interaction, and was later transported to a local hospital.
