Alberta invokes notwithstanding clause on trio of transgender laws

EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA — The Alberta government has introduced legislation to use the Charter’s notwithstanding clause to prevent legal challenges to three laws impacting transgender and gender-diverse youth and adults.
