It was only the second road trip for the Rangers of the season but it was their first defeat.
A relatively slow start to the game saw only one goal scored in the first period by Owen Sound, with the Rangers making a strong start to the second.
Haeden Ellis would score one goal, with Jack Pridham scoring another for the Blueshirts within just thirty seconds.
That would sadly be all the Rangers could muster, with three more from the Attack in the second and another in the third, ending the game with a score of 5-2.
Head coach Jussi Ahokas attributed the loss in part to the penalties the Blueshirts faced, which allowed for the Attack to score four powerplay goals.
The Rangers will have the week off to rest up and prepare for this Friday night’s game at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium, where they’ll take on Owen Sound once again.
The puck will drop at 7 p.m. and all the action can be heard on 570 NewsRadio starting with the pre-game show at 6:30 p.m., hosted by Mike Farwell and Josh Piercey.
