Police after unknown suspects in string of Cambridge home break-ins

Waterloo regional police are asking people to be vigilant after multiple houses were broken into in Cambridge.
A press release from the force said that the teams are looking into three residential break-and-enters that happened between Sept. 3 and 22 in the Silver Heights community. Police said that unknown suspects damaged homes to gain entry and stole property.
People living in the area of Baldwin, Silverthorne and Henwood Drives and Horton Walk are being asked to check their home security cameras between Sept. 16-22 for suspicious people or vehicles.
A press release from officials also notes that people should take precautions after the incidents.
Tips from police:
- Keep doors and windows locked, even when home
- Keep valuables out of common areas and out of plain sight
- Install audible noise alarm systems
- Secure residences with home video surveillance cameras in the front and back of the residence
- Notify neighbours when away for an extended period and arrange to have someone check on your residence
- Report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police
