Convenience store staff threatened during Waterloo robbery

No injuries have been reported as police continue to investigate an alleged convenience store robbery in the City of Waterloo.

It happened on Monday morning around 12:10 a.m. when police were called out to a business in the King Street North area of Waterloo.

Investigators say a male suspect made their way into the store, allegedly stealing goods and threatening to hurt an employee before leaving the area.

Police describe the suspect as a Black man in his early 20s with short black hair. He was most recently seen wearing a red t-shirt with blue jeans, a black belt and blue shoes.

Officers with the service’s Neighbourhood Policing North Division continue to investigate.
