Stolen vehicle strikes police cruiser; two suspects at large

Officers are investigating after a stolen vehicle stuck a cruiser while attempting to flee police.

Police encountered a stolen Jeep with two suspects inside shortly before 7 p.m. Friday in the area of Pinery Trail and Springwater Drive.

When officers approached the vehicle it took off, hitting a police cruiser as it fled the scene.

The vehicle was located a short time later, but the occupants had fled on foot.

Police believe the two suspects are tied to other crimes in the neighbourhood, including theft and attempted home entries.

No injuries were reported.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact 519-570-9777 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
