Arthur Street South between Elmira and St. Jacobs has reopened following train track repairs.
Waterloo regional police shared news of a partial closure in place for southbound traffic on Arthur Street South near Elmira just after 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, citing a “large object” on the roadway.
That partial closure was upgraded to a full closure around 7:30 a.m., between Scotch Line and just north of Sawmill Road, to allow for repairs at the train track.
Police confirmed to 570 NewsRadio that “large object” appeared to be damaged concrete with metal sticking up near the rail tracks.
A spokesperson with the service said several drivers notified them of flat tires, though no injuries were reported.
