Suspect on the run after gun pointed at driver in Kitchener

Waterloo regional police are searching for a suspect after a scary situation in Kitchener, that saw a woman followed by another driver, and allegedly staring down a firearm while in her vehicle.

On Tuesday, around 7:25 a.m., police said a driver was followed by a grey sedan while she was travelling near Otonabee Drive and Bleams Road, near Manitou Drive.

The man behind the wheel of that car reportedly got out of the vehicle when she parked in a nearby parking lot, and demanded that she open her door.

“The male then walked to the driver’s side, brandished a firearm, and demanded the victim exit her vehicle,” a release from officials said.

The woman then drove around the suspect and was followed by the same suspect once again.

He was last seen driving on Bleams Road.

The man is described as white, 5’7″ with a slim build and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing a grey hoodie at the time of the incident.

The vehicle is described as a “grey, four-door sedan with untinted windows and no front plate. It is believed to be a 2012-2023 cyber grey Hyundai Elantra Ultimate.”

No one was physically hurt.
