Tesla impounded after back-to-back traffic stops in Guelph

A driver in Guelph learned his lesson the hard way after being pulled over twice in a row.

On Tuesday, a man driving a Tesla was pulled over by Guelph Police on Gordon Street after a patrolling officer picked up his suspended license through their plate reader.

The driver pulled into a nearby parking lot, where the officer learned that not only was his license suspended, but he also had no insurance or registration.

The 27-year-old man was given three tickets, and the officer offered to call a tow truck to move the vehicle.

The driver declined, and the officer drove to another nearby lot to complete the paperwork.

Shortly after, the officer spotted the tesla pulling back out into the road.

The Tesla was pulled over again, issued three more tickets, and this time, the vehicle was seized and impounded.
