Scott Miller officially named as new WRDSB Director of Education

Scott Miller has officially been named as Director of Education for the Waterloo Region District School Board.
He was put into the role on an interim basis back in December when the public school board announced the sudden departure of former director jeewan chanicka.
The circumstances around his departure from the board remain unclear, with some school board trustees themselves asking for an opportunity for the public to have some of their questions answered.
The new director, Scott Miller has been with the local public school board since 1995 in many roles, including as a teacher, principal, vice-principal, and various administrative roles with a focus on student mental health and well-being.
In a release, Miller said he is honoured to take on the role.
“I look forward to what lies ahead as we collectively work together as Trustees, staff, parents, families and community to ensure WRDSB students are achieving their full potential, feeling a sense of belonging and realizing success for all.”
