CCTV footage shows man igniting commercial building in Kitchener: WRPS
An investigation is underway after a commercial fire in Kitchener, with police saying it has footage of a man intentionally igniting the blaze.
Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) says the incident took place on Feb. 7 at around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Frederick Street and Bruce Street.
During the initial investigation, officers were able to recover CCTV footage of the building showing a man igniting the structure. It caused significant damage to the building as well as the business.
The fire dissipated before emergency services arrived on scene. No physical injuries were reported.
WRPS says the investigation is still ongoing, now asking anyone with further details on the incident or the suspect in question to reach out.
