A heavy police presence in Waterloo as regional police continue an active investigation.

Six police cruisers were parked at a residence on Erb Street at the Fischer-Hallman Road intersection before 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the situation is an active investigation, and there are no further details at this time.

They added that there is no threat to public safety.
