Impaired driving charges laid after two-vehicle collision in Kitchener

A Kitchener man is now facing charges of impaired driving after a two-vehicle collision.

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) was called on Jan. 24 at 11:55 p.m. to the area of Westmount Road West and Queen’s Boulevard in Kitchener. Initial reports detailed a two-vehicle collision in the area.

When officers arrived on scene, they found no one was injured but determined that one of the drivers involved in the collision was impaired by alcohol. They placed the man under arrest.

The 48-year-old man from Kitchener has now been charged with several offenses ranging from operation while impaired as well as dangerous operation of a vehicle.
