Police release photos after jewellery store robbery at Guelph mall

Police have released surveillance photos as the investigation continues into a jewellery store robbery at a mall in Guelph.

Police were called to Stone Road Mall on Friday around 5:35 p.m. after four masked males entered a store and used hammers to smash display cases.

Once they stole merchandise, they ran out of the mall and one of the suspects sprayed a noxious substance. According to Guelph police, the robbers then fled the scene in a vehicle.

In addition to surveillance images, police have released descriptions of each suspect:

  • Suspect 1: Male wearing an olive-green fleece-style hoodie, grey track pants, white running shoes with red and grey on the heel and a red sole, a medical mask and carrying a hammer and a can of spray
  • Suspect 2: Male wearing grey hoodie with a red logo on the left sleeve, possibly gloves with red or orange on them, black pants, white running shoes, black style duffle bag or knapsack and a medical mask
  • Suspect 3: Male wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black running shoes, black style duffle bag or knapsack and a medical mask
  • Suspect 4: Male wearing a black hoodie, black pants with white strip from the hip to the knee area on the right side, black running shoes, black style duffle bag or knapsack and a medical mask
