Dog dead, pedestrian injured in Waterloo crash

A partial road closure was in effect on University Avenue East Friday morning following a collision involving a pedestrian and their dog in Waterloo.

Southbound lanes on University Avenue East between Lexington Road and Woolwich Street were closed for several hours during the morning rush.

The collision was reported around 8 a.m.

No updates have been released on the severity of the pedestrian’s injuries, although police confirmed the dog died as a result of the collision.
