Kitchener Rangers’ all-time points leader dies at 67

One of the best to ever put on the blue, white, and red jersey, Dwight Foster, has died at 67.

He served as captain of the Kitchener Rangers from 1974 to 1977 and is the club’s all-time leader in points with 382.

“Those who knew Foster off the ice described him as a ‘first-class guy with a kind heart.’ His leadership, warmth, and humility made him a cherished figure in the hockey world,” his obituary reads.

Following his incredibly successful stint in the juniors with the Blueshirts, Foster went on to play an impressive 541 games in the NHL with the Boston Bruins, Colorado Rockies, New Jersey Devils, and Detroit Red Wings.

“Our condolences go out to his family and friends during this difficult time,” said the Rangers in a post on X.
