Teen charged after driving 134 km/h on Northfield Drive

By Justin Koehler

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is issuing a reminder to slow down — snowy conditions or otherwise — after one youth was pulled over for speeding on Northfield Dive East.

Officers with the WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit were patrolling the roads, conducting proactive speed enforcement, when they clocked one driver going 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

Police then pulled over the 17-year-old with speeding and stunt driving. The young driver faces a licence suspension and a 14-day vehicle seizure.

WRPS asks that, for the safety of all road users, drivers slow down on the roads.
