WRPS investigating armed robbery in Cambridge

An investigation is underway through Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) after an armed robber in Cambridge.

Police say the incident occurred on Dec. 29 at 7 p.m., but add that they didn’t receive calls on the matter until Dec. 30 at around 3 p.m..

Officers say an unknown man entered into a business in the area of Franklin Boulevard and Elgin Street North before threatening staff members with an edged weapon. He then took merchandise and fled the store.

No physical injuries have been reported, but police are now investigating to find the suspect involved. No details have been provided as to a description of the individual.
