Charges laid following serious crash in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges in connection to a serious, single vehicle collision in Kitchener.

In the early morning hours of December 11, two men were rushed to an out-of-region hospital following a crash at the intersection of Pinnacle Drive and Thomas Slee Drive, near New Dundee Road.

At the time, police identified the two men as a 25-year-old and a 23-year-old.

On December 18, police charged the driver with multiple offences:

  • Dangerous driving
  • Failing to wear a seatbelt
  • Speeding 156 km/h in a 40 km/h zone
  • Two counts of stunt driving

The accused is scheduled to appear in court in January, 2025.
