Dense fog returns to Waterloo Region

Dense fog has returned to Waterloo Region and it’s expected to stick around until Wednesday.

Fog first developed on Monday and significantly impacted visibility on roadways.

While there was a break from the fog Tuesday morning, it started to return in the afternoon.

As a result, a fog advisory is in effect.

Environment Canada said the fog will worsen Tuesday evening and it won’t fully clear until Wednesday afternoon.

Drivers are being urged to take precautions in light of the conditions, like turning their vehicle’s lights on and slowing down.
