Stratford Police make arrest following morning stand-off
Police in Stratford have made an arrest after a stand-off occurred with a 51-year-old man.
Just before 5:30 a.m. Thursday morning police said they responded to an intimate partner violence call on Mornington Street in Stratford.
According to police a female victim was seen walking down the street and a witness contacted police.

The 51-year-old suspect was found inside a residence on Mornington and barricaded himself inside when police arrived.
Surrounding streets were shutdown as police attempted to talk with the man.
He peacefully surrendered to police around 11 a.m. Thursday and police said a replica firearm was seized.
The man has been charged with multiple criminal offences and was held for a bail hearing.

The female victim was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries, the severity of which has not been revealed.
