An ION train service disruption was reported Friday afternoon because of a crash involving the LRT and a school bus.

The collision occurred on Ottawa St. S. in Kitchener, near Charles St.

Grand River Transit confirmed there were no reported injuries resulting from the collision.

The crash halted ION train service between the Kitchener Market and Mill stations, although a bus bridge was implemented to assist public transit riders.

GRT said LRT service was set to resume in the impacted area around 5:30 p.m.
