Driver smashes into Kitchener bus shelter after colliding with pedestrian

Police are investigating after a vehicle collided with a pedestrian and smashed into a bus shelter in Kitchener.

The crash occurred just before 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the area of Kinzie Ave. and Fergus Ave.

According to police the bus shelter sustained significant damage and the pedestrian received minor non-life threatening injuries.

The driver has been charged with careless driving.
