Rangers and Knights renew rivalry at the Aud

It’s rivalry night at the Kitchener Auditorium with the London Knights in town.

This will be the first meeting between the Knights and the East Avenue Blue this season and already has implications for the standings.

Kitchener was able to maintain its first-place position thanks to a pair of wins over the weekend, but London is now breathing down their necks.

London has been red hot, winning their last eleven games, propelling them into a tie with Windsor, three points back of the first-place Rangers.

With Windsor making a stop in Kitchener on Friday night, picking-up a least one point Tuesday is essential if the Rangers hope to maintain their lead.

Blue Shirts netminder Jackson Parsons has been as solid as they come, allowing just one goal in two games last week and posting a league best 2.29 GAA so far this season.

Rangers center Luca Romano has a nine-game point streak on the line, while Maple Leafs prospect Ethan Cowan is riding a 19-game point streak for the Knights.

Kitchener has two other games on the schedule this week: Friday at home to the Windsor Spitfires and Saturday in Erie against the Otters.

The OHL released its weekly Power Rankings and moved up one spot to now sit second behind London. Behind Kitchener sits Windsor and Erie.

Game time Tuesday night is 7:00 pm.

Mike Farwell and Paul Fixter have all the action on 570 NewsRadio, beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 pm.
