As Swifties get ready for the next three Taylor Swift shows in Toronto, so is a food truck from Waterloo Region.
Fo’ Cheezy got permission to park right in front of the CN Tower with a few other food trucks during all six Toronto dates of The Eras Tour.
“There’s just so much glitter, sparkly boots and frilly coats. It was a great event, people are really buying into it, they’re dressing up, they’re having fun, there’s a lot of mothers, daughters, a lot of families – it’s one of those things you know you probably won’t see again,” Sandor Dosman, the owner of Fo’ Cheezy, said on The Mike Farwell Show Nov. 18.
“I kind of compare it to you know, it’s like The Beatles, or Elvis coming to town, it really is. The excitement and the aura of the whole thing, it’s pretty crazy.”
All six shows are playing at the Roger’s Centre, including the ones coming up from November 21 to 23.
To help celebrate, Fo’ Cheezy adorned its grilled cheese truck with a 17-foot friendship bracelet. It reads, “R U Ready Fo’ it?” in bold letters. Dosman mentioned Swifties are enjoying taking photos with the truck because of it.
Fo’ Cheezy also updated its menu for the concert series with Taylor Swift-themed items like the Fo’ Cheezy Swiftie or the Fo’ ABC Lover.
Dosman said it’s been a lot of fun so far for him and his staff, who are working long days from 8 a.m. to midnight for the shows. He added the lines are often starting way before showtimes to get into Roger’s Centre.
“A lot of my staff are Swifties, so they’ve been singing and collecting friendship bracelets, they had a hoot,” he said.
The staff at Fo’ Cheezy are gearing up for another three nights of glitter and excitement.
If the community is feeling cheezy, the bright orange food truck has four days planned at the upcoming Christkindl Market that lights up Kitchener every year. Dosman mentioned they have some new German items coming for that event.
