Two arrested after noxious substance sprayed during robbery at Kitchener home

Regional Police have made two arrests after a robbery in Kitchener in early November.

A jarring robbery occurred at a Kitchener home on Nov. 12 as two thieves allegedly stole property and sprayed a woman with a noxious substance.

That happened at a residence in the Victoria Street and Fischer-Hallman Road area.

The 34-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Her injuries are described as being non-life-threatening.

On Thursday, police said they arrested a 26-year-old Kitchener woman and 40-year-old Waterloo woman believed to be involved after search warrants were carried out.

Both woman are facing charges of robbery with a weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.

They are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
