Regional police search Kitchener, Cambridge, and Woolwich for stolen truck; Brantford man arrested
Regional police were led on a search from Kitchener, to Cambridge, and eventually to a forest in Woolwich Township on Monday morning.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, it started around 7:30 a.m. when police received reports of a Chevrolet Silverado that was stolen from a business in Cambridge.
Patrolling officers spotted the truck near Kingsway Drive and Wilson Avenue, the area of the Fairview Park Mall.

Officers attempted to pull the Silverado over, but the driver made a dangerous manoeuvre before slamming into a cruiser and taking off up Wilson Avenue, heading towards the expressway.
About 40 minutes later, just after 8 a.m., police spotted the truck out in Woolwich Township between Maryhill and Ariss.
The truck was empty, but officers spotted the driver running away, this time on foot, through a forested area nearby.
The WRPS Canine Team and a remotely piloted vehicle (RPV) were brought in to help with the search. The drone flying overhead located the man, and the Canine Team swooped in and made the arrest around 9:30 a.m.

The 40-year-old Brantford man is facing a long list of charges which includes flight from police, theft of a vehicle, failure to stop, and more.
He was was held for a bail hearing.
