Waterloo Regional Police make arrest in Kitchener stabbing

Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in connection to a stabbing in a Kitchener neighbourhood.

Emergency services responded to the area of Garment Street in Kitchener on Nov. 7 around 2 a.m. after receiving reports of a man being stabbed.

A 41-year-old man was found with stab wounds and transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious physical injuries.

Police arrested an 18-year-old Kitchener man in Cambridge on Nov. 9 for the incident and have charged him with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Investigators have previously said they believe the suspect and victim know each other.

The suspect was held in custody for a bail hearing.
