Pedestrian charged after crash in Kitchener

Police have charged a pedestrian after the individual was struck by a vehicle on Monday night.

The crash was reported around 7:20 p.m. in the Queen’s Boulevard and Westmount Road area of Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police said the pedestrian, a 46-year-old Kitchener woman, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, who is also a 46-year-old woman from Kitchener, was not hurt.

Through an investigation, police charged the pedestrian with failing to use a crosswalk.

Police continue to ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact their Traffic Services Unit.
