Waterloo Regional Police investigating sudden death in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police (WRPS) are investigating a sudden death that took place in the Eastwood neighbourhood of Kitchener on Tuesday night.

According to police, officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male in the area of Weber Street East and Raymond Road at around 11:30 p.m.

He was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.

Regional police alerted the public to their investigation in a post on X around 4:20 a.m. on Wednesday, warning of an increased presence in the area of Weber Street East and Raymond Road.

A cruiser was on scene, and the front of a residence on Weber Street East was taped off as officers investigated the grounds.

The WRPS Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the incident, alongside the Chief Coroner’s Office, to determine whether or not the death is considered suspicious.
