Cambridge male arrested for uploading child pornography, breaching probation

Regional police have arrested a 44-year-old Cambridge male Oct. 23 for multiple offences including possession of child pornography, making child pornography available and breach of probation order in relation to children.

From September to October this year, police received reports of an instant messaging application user who was uploading child pornography and making it available to other people on the platform.

Regional Police’s Cybercrime – Internet Child Exploitation Unit completed a search warrant at a residence in Galt.

WRPS is part of the Ontario Provincial Strategy’s project that aims to protect children from exploitation or sexual abuse.
